Terrell Owens to the Chicago Bears? Sounds Good to Him...

When Terrell Owens talks, people listen. Maybe it is because he is a little on the self-absorbed side and tends to say the wrong thing a lot. Maybe it is because he is learning and actually speaks with wisdom sometimes. Or maybe it is because the man is still an incredible athlete and will go down as one of the greatest wide receivers whether he plays the game again or not.

Which he would like to do (play the game again that is)--and hopefully for the Chicago Bears.

Come to me Terrell...
Bears fans, before you start to have nightmares about the many ways that TO could damage the already fragile chemistry that the Da Bears have on offense it is not something that there is any reason to believe the
team plans on doing. It is just TO thinking out loud and hoping someone will give him a chance.
"To think about (Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall) on the other side and me on one side, that's really dangerous. I'm keeping myself in shape just for any opportunity that may come about."

That sounds...nice...

TO is banking on the long shot happening because Bears head coach Marc Trestman was not in San Francisco with him long enough to develop a personal dislike for him. It's a stretch, but now that he has been out of the league for two seasons, been dying to get back in, flopped with the Seahawks, and is not getting any younger he has to do whatever he thinks will help.

As much as I'd like to see the man play again (because he was good when he took it seriously), I would almost hate to see him put his new career on hold--acting. I haven't seen (and will not) the movie that he made, but his cameos in the Mathew Perry sitcom Go On are hilarious (sorry--I couldn't find a clip I could embed; trust me--it is funny stuff)!
