Rob Gronkowski has been in and out of the news throughout the off-season; not as much for his partying lately, but because of that darn broken forearm. It appears that his forearm has him in the news again--the Gronk is going under the knife.
Yes, sports fans, he's having surgery No. 4.
Rest easy New England Patriots fans and fantasy football players. This is actually good news. A fourth surgery was going to be needed anyway in order for the current plate holding his arm together to be replaced. The infection in his arm has held doctors up from getting it done.
Surgery will be next week on an undisclosed day. The healing process is expected to be about ten weeks I believe which will keep him out of training camp, but will make the beginning of the regular season a definite possibility.
That is, assuming the infection is gone and there are no other complications or problems from here on out.
So enjoy getting your Gronk on Rob--just not too hard.
