USC WR Marqise Lee to Make His Return Against Notre Dame?

Life is on the verge of being really, really good for the USC Trojans. Interim Head Coach Ed Orgeron has done a lot to change the culture with the team and it appeared to work. Last Thursday when the Trojans beat Arizona 38-31 they looked like a different team--and they are only going to get better.

Just wait until star wide receiver Marqise Lee makes his return!

Lee went down with a knee injury in Kiffin's final game and has yet to return to action, but if all goes according to plan that could happen this weekend when the Trojans take on Notre Dame.

"From my point of view, I'm going to play. From coach (Ed Orgeron) O's point of view, it'll depend on how I feel. I'll let him know the truth and right now I feel okay. I had a great practice and did what I was supposed to do."

The last time the junior wide receiver played the Figthting Irish he didn't have a great game, and since he is expected to be a sure-fire first rounder this will be his last chance to help his team beat one of its biggest rivals. Notre Dame and USC have been playing for the Jeweled Shillelagh since 1926 with Notre Dame winning it last season (22-13).

"As far as the team goes, I think we're positive, momentum is growing, we're going to continue to roll and keep it going as much as possible as far as doing what we do for the team....Last week is old news, we're moving forward and that's really about it. Notre Dame is a big game for the team."

Kickoff is at 7:30 PM ET Saturday night.
