Former Oregon State WR Brandin Cooks Turns Heads With Fastest Time for Wide Receivers in 40-Yard Dash

Speed has not always meant success for wide receivers in the NFL, but teams sure like to see their draft picks have it. If there is one thing that Brandin Cooks had during his time at Oregon State it was certainly speed--which was on display during testing at the NFL Combine Sunday.

From Bleacher Report
His official best came in at 4.33 seconds. Coaches and scouts may wish he was a little bigger, but after watching him lead the FBS in receiving last season in receiving yards with 1730 yards (128 receptions and 16 touchdowns) they don't have to wonder if he can put his speed to use.

CBS Sports has him rated as the No. 7 wide receiver in the draft and either a first or second round pick.
