Yankees Pitcher Michael Pineda Busted Using Foreign Substance--Again!

Michael Pineda is an idiot. The pitcher for the New York Yankees was busted in the second inning of Wednesday night's Red Sox/Yankees game using a foreign substance (looks like pine tar).

You would think that after the hailstorm that resulted after the last time he pitched against the Red Sox and was spotted with something on his hand he would have been careful--or just played a clean game.

But no--that would be too easy (and logical).

What is almost as surprising as the fact that he did it again is where he put it. I get that it is a spot he can touch easily without looking odd--but we can see it! Dumb!

It will be interesting to see what the league does to Pineda and possibly the Yankees. He definitely deserves a suspension, but the league may also question how he could have been so obvious about and no one noticed.

Was the team aware and chose to do nothing? We'll probably find out in the days to come.
