Classic 'Catholics vs. Convicts' T-Shirt Revived But With a Special Jameis Winston Twist

Florida State is scheduled to take on the Fighting Irish from Notre Dame this October in what should be an excellent game. FSU will be looking to defend it's title and Notre Dame prove it is a title contender now that it has it's QB back.

The game has also dredged up the memory of another famous contest between the Fighting Irish and a football team from South Florida.

Yes, sports fans I am talking about the 1988 classic between Notre Dame and Miami that spawned an awesome t-shirt and catch phrase--'Catholics vs. Convicts.'

Back in 1988 some students thought it would be cool to make and sell some t-shirts for the game between the Miami Hurricanes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish--the now infamous 'Catholics vs. Convicts' shirts. They were a hit! The name was even picked up by the media and is still popular today.

In light of a certain Heisman trophy winning quarterback's off-field activity it has been altered and revived.
