So it would come as no surprise if a coach were to saying winning is what matters most, but Baylor Bears head coach Art Briles would not.

As much as he likes the job security that comes with winning football games for Briles it is more about the players than it is wins. He had this to say during a recent SiriusXM NFL Radio appearance when asked about his legacy:
“People ask me about my legacy,” Briles said. “My legacy is the guys that have been through our program go out and be good husbands, fathers and citizens that really make an impact in the world. That’s how I spell success, just seeing people that may not have had an opportunity, have that opportunity and take advantage of it and then give others one.”One of his more infamous former players has not been doing well off the field, but even though he left the Baylor program prior to entering the supplemental draft Briles has still been in contact with him.
Briles has mentioned in the past that he would consider listening should the NFL come calling, but with the focus he puts in to helping the kids in his program become men you almost have to hope he stays in Waco.
