Colby Lewis Turns in Worst Outing in Texas Rangers History and One of the Worst in MLB History

For a couple years Colby Lewis was one of the stars of the Texas Rangers rotation. It was kind of a shocker when it happened since he did not do that great in his first stay with the team and was coming off a couple years in Japan when they picked him back up.

What was more of a shocker though was the performance he turned in Thursday night against the Los Angeles Angels.

Lewis was pulled with one out in the third inning after having given up 13 runs (11 earned) in 13 hits and just a single strikeout (hate to be that guy). It doesn't take much to see that he had a bad game, but little did people know at the time how bad it was.

It gets worse. The outing was easily the worst in Rangers history, but it was also one of the worst in MLB history. He is now one of only four pitchers to ever allow 13 or more runs in three innings or less.

I think it is safe to say that fantasy baseball players will make sure they have at least one batter in their lineup whenever Lewis pitches for the rest of the season.
