Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles Says He Was Not Holding Out--He Ran Out of Gas!

It was no secret that Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles wanted a new deal. When it comes to new deals and training camp it is not unusual for players seeking them to not show up. So when Charles did not show Wednesday folks in Kansas City just figured that was what he was doing.

But he says differently.

According to Charles he had no intention of holding out at all--he just ran out of gas:

I had no intention on holding out...I just ran out of gas on the way to camp and my cell phone battery died. It was a long walk I tell ya.
