Second year defensive back Tharold Simon has yet to make an impact for the Seattle Seahawks. A fifth round pick in the 2013 draft out of LSU he has his work cut out for him to make sure he stays on the squad. With the reputation that the Legion of Boom has cultivated he has a lot to live up to when/if he does play.
However, getting involved in a scuffle during a game and getting ejected is not the way to get noticed or live up to the LOB's rep.

It's a great way to make your coaches mad since they really hate stupid penalties like this.
This is just another example of how the Seahawks want to be known for. Just a bunch of thuggs with no sence for the game. Every Seahawk fan out there defends this type of play and are the worst fans in the NFL and I live in Washington and it's an embarassment for the state and the league.
ReplyDeleteWow. Strong words.
DeleteDid you see the play? It was a Denver player who was the "thug", fighting in a scrum after the whistle. Simon just got tagged for defending his teammate when he pulled the Denver player off and then they got into it more. He was the last guy in the scrum and got the flag. Stop the hate and knock of the "Seattle thug" narrative. Focus on the mediocre play that causes your team to fall short year after year. I don't know what team you root for, but I'm pretty sure they weren't champs last year.
ReplyDeleteI just wish football folks would start using rugby terminology right. If anything it was more of a maul.
ReplyDeleteActually, throwing that punch will probably mean he doesn't make the team. Seriously, it was beyond stupid to throw that punch.
