For the Bruins it doesn't matter. A win is a win is a win is a win--no matter how it happened. For Hundley if it (a bad game) was going to happen it is better that it happened now than later.
On the day he was 20-33 for a pedestrian 242 yards and scored the team's only offensive touchdown to go with 15 carries for 39 yards. It was enough for the win, but for his Heisman hopes and draft status it doesn't speak well.
It's only Game 1 though. If there is one thing Heisman voters and NFL scouts like it is seeing a player learn from his mistakes and improve as the season goes on.
