UCLA Defense Wins the Game for the Bruins Over Virginia [VIDEO]

There has been a lot of buzz about the UCLA Bruins leading up this season. With a veteran laden team led by a Heisman trophy candidate at quarterback that comes as no surprise. What did come as a surprise is Brett Hundley looking very un-Heisman like and the Bruins needing three touchdowns on defense in order to pull out a win over the Virginia Cavaliers.

For the Bruins it doesn't matter. A win is a win is a win is a win--no matter how it happened. For Hundley if it (a bad game) was going to happen it is better that it happened now than later.

On the day he was 20-33 for a pedestrian 242 yards and scored the team's only offensive touchdown to go with 15 carries for 39 yards. It was enough for the win, but for his Heisman hopes and draft status it doesn't speak well.

It's only Game 1 though. If there is one thing Heisman voters and NFL scouts like it is seeing a player learn from his mistakes and improve as the season goes on.
