Tennessee Announcer Offered $1000 to Trash Lane Kiffin Over the PA

Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin was surrounded by a group of police officers waking up and in to Neyland Stadium for Saturday's game between Alabama and the Tennessee Volunteers. With all the hate that the Tennessee fan base still expresses for him it was better to be safe than sorry, right?

You would think that after a few years it would subside especially since he was only there for a single season before jumping ship to head up the USC program. That is far from the case.

Whether anyone actually would do him harm is one thing, but the fans in Tennessee have no qualms about trash talk. In fact, it appears that one fan was even willing to pay the game's announcer a $1000 to talk smack to Kiffin over the PA:

Maybe if the Vols had won more than six conference games the last four seasons (zero this year) the animosity would not be so bad. Nothing breeds contempt quite like losing though.
