Adam 'Pacman' Jones Has Quietly Become One of the Best and Most Fearless Punt Returners in the NFL

At one time fans didn't go long without hearing something about Adam 'Pacman' Jones in the news. On occasion it was football-related, but more often than not it was because of something stupid he had done away from the field. It seemed like his inability to stay out of trouble was going to put a premature end to his playing career, but a few years ago the Bengals decided to give the bad boy a try.

Since then, not only has he developed in to a solid member of the secondary for the Bengals, but one of the most fearless and talented punt returners in the game.

Some will be quick to dismiss the notion of Jones being among the best of anything other than 'making it rain' let alone fearless. However, for a player to not fair catch a single punt return in 90 attempts he has to be a little fearless.

Haters will probably be quick to say something like "so he gets pasted a lot on returns." Whether or not he does I don't know. I don't know whether he pinned his team deep or anything either. What I am choosing to recognize is that the man has been bound and determined to do something for his team whenever he got his hands on the ball.

I can respect that.

I'm sure the haters are going to be quick to say "he still sucks." Well--he does have the second best average per return in the NFL this season (14.8 yards).

That doesn't suck.
