So when a story that is pretty much the exact opposite surfaces it definitely needs to be shared.

At halftime members of the A&M band as well as several Auburn students helped him look for it with no success. He looked more after the game, but again no luck. The next day he was allowed to come back and search, but still came up empty.
He left his contact info with someone at Auburn. On Monday that person called Layton to tell him he got someone to come out to the field with a metal detector (an A&M grad; Class of '87). When the metal detector didn't work they got down on hands and knees to look for it one more time and found it.

There is no better way to describe this story than to say it is awesome. Hats off to the good people that went out of their way to help Layton. You are a credit to your university.
