Good thing is they will likely get him back for the post season. Bad thing is they still have to start someone behind center for the final two games of the season.

#Cardinals QB Drew Stanton has a sprained knee and is week to week, per source. Season not believed to be over

So--Ryan Lindley or Logan Thomas?
To be honest, I don't know why they signed Lindley in the first place. Yes, he has experience in the system and is familiar with the offense--but he's not good enough to handle the kinds of defenses the team is going to face. He did little against a very good Rams defense and he is going to do even less against the Seahawks and 49ers.
If they didn't need to win at least one of those games to lock up an extra week off for Stanton's knee it would not be a big deal, but they do. They only have a one-game lead on the Seahawks who they happen to play next.
That leaves rookie Logan Thomas.
Thomas saw some action earlier this season against the Broncos and did what every kid dreams of doing. He threw a touchdown on his first NFL pass--but the next seven all fell incomplete.
So than why him?
Well--unless they know they are going to draft another quarterback this year he has to be the QB of the future. If he is they might as well get him some game experience and see what he has. Of course the problem is they really don't know what they are going to get, but at the same time they do know what they are going to get in Lindley.
It sucks, but going with Thomas is the lesser of two evils.
