Could Jerry Jones Be Executive of the Year Again?

For years fans of the Dallas Cowboys have been hoping and praying for one thing—for Jerry Jones to step down and hire a real general manager.

Fans have long hoped that Jerry Jones would do one of two things with the Dallas Cowboys—sell them or hire a real general manager to run the team. After winning a few Super Bowls during the early years of his time as owner of America’s Team Jones has guided the team down an epic road of mediocrity with one questionable decision after another.

Last year, however, something strange happened. Jones made a series of moves in free agency that ended up being brilliant and paid off with the team’s first playoff win since 2009. When all was said and done Jones was given an award that no one ever thought he would deserve—NFL Executive of the Year.

Should the team survive the off-season and still be in a position to compete next year he may be deserving of it yet again....
