Arizona Cardinals Not Dallas Cowboys Adrian Peterson's Top Choice?

If or when the Minnesota Vikings trade running back Adrian Peterson the NFL-loving world is going to go nuts. The thought of trading away a player of his caliber is boggling to consider, but there is a good chance that it will happen. For weeks fans have heard about how Peterson really wants to play for the Cowboys.

However, according to someone with Yahoo! Sports Dallas is not his top choice.

Bruce Arians had the Cardinals looking like legitimate Super Bowl contenders right up until Carson Palmer was lost for the season, and even then the team still looked good without him for a couple games. A guy like Peterson is going to want to go to a contender so him wanting to go to Arizona is not surprising.

The question is whether Arizona is interested and what they would be willing to give up for Peterson. First round pick? Second round pick and Andre Ellington?

We'll find out if the Cardinals make an offer. That is, if the Vikings are actually going to seriously consider letting him go (which still sounds crazy).
