Has Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly Lost His Damn Mind?

When he was coaching the Oregon Ducks he was seen as an innovator and a truly gifted coach. When he made the move to the NFL many thought he was nuts, but he quickly proved them wrong when he managed to implement his "college system" in the pros. However, with some of the personnel moves that the team has made recently and could be looking to make you kind of have to wonder about Chip Kelly.

Has the man lost his damn mind?

The Eagles have been busy cutting salaries just like every other team in the NFL ahead of the start of free agency, but what has had some fans up in arms is the team trading away running back LeSean McCoy. Shady was a popular and productive player; the kind of guy you don't like to see leaving your team.

Yeah, Kiko Alonso is supposed to be a good linebacker, but what is the offense going to do now? So while he may have found the team a solid defender he created a huge hole at running back. If that wasn't enough to convince you that Kelly is losing his mind the most recent rumor might do the trick.

The Eagles are actually interested in bring Mark Sanchez back.

The former Jets starter took over for an injured Nick Foles last season and went on to throw for more than 2400 yards while completing over 64 percent of his throws with 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. At one point he had three consecutive game with 300+ yards passing.

However, he was still Mark Sanchez. The same poor decision maker that was just as prone to keeping the other team in the game as his own. Yes, he looked good at times, but that could be attributed to the quality of his supporting cast more than him.

The market for quarterbacks is not great so maybe Kelly is thinking that Sanchez did win a few games so he is better than some of the other options out there. Kelly must not think much of Matt Barkley if he is thinking of bringing Sanchez back.

  2. Sanchez isn't a good one. If they don't think Barkley can handle it they need to go after someone in FA.
