Former Texas Longhorns QB David Ash Misses Football But He Enjoys Fishing

The Texas Longhorns entered last season thinking they were going to have veteran David Ash at quarterback, but concussion issues put an early end to his season and eventually his career. Stepping away from the game because of injuries is the worst way to do it. You still have the love of the game and the desire to play, but you cant because of your body.

That kind of thing can really work on your mind, and it appeared to be getting to Ash last week when he sent a tweet out in to the world that got some fans worried.

He has since deleted the Tweet, but this is what it said:

Sometimes I miss football so bad I could die
— David Ash (@david_ash14) March 6, 2015

Just about every media outlet in the country and most blogs ran with the tweet, but what most of them failed to pick up on was the tweet he sent out in to the virtual world a day later:

It's natural to miss the game. Most players have been involved in the game for most of their lives. When it is suddenly taken away adjusting to its absence can be hard.

After the show of love from the fans Ash eventually sent out another tweet to put any concerns people may have had too  rest.
