When it comes to the sports worked it is good to be able to say you are the only team to have done something. Well--as long as that something is good. If you are the only team to never get a first down in a bowl game that is bad. However, if you can claim to be the only team to ever win a certain bowl game that is good.
It looks like the South Carolina Gamecocks will be able to do just that.

It appears that the Gamecocks will go down as the one and only winner of the Duck Commander Independence Bowl. The game is not going away. According to a press release the game and company have decided to part ways.
“We’ve enjoyed our sponsorship of the 2014 bowl, but think it is time for another sponsor to take the lead,” stated Willie Robertson, CEO of Duck Commander.
South Carolina won the game against Miami 24-21.
