Florida Gators RB Adam Lane Happy He Pooped His Pants During the Birmingham Bowl

The last couple of seasons have not been great ones for the Florida Gators. Last season put the nail in Will Muschamp's coffin even though the Gators somehow managed to become bowl eligible. They ended up wining the game and in the process may have discovered their next star--running back Adam Lane.

While Lane did have a solid day he became known for much more than that. He pooped his pants during the game. Funny thing is he says it was the best thing that could have happened to him.

This is what he had to say about his infamous accident to Richard Johnson from Jacksonville.com:

"It was the best thing that could have happened," said Lane. "It got a lot of attention and just put me in a place where I was out there publicly and people knew who I was. I really didn't get a lot of grief from it. A lot of people were really more focused on how well I did in the game more than anything. I feel like it was that way because I embraced it."

At first I thought this kid was nuts. Getting busted pooping your pants on national television is not a good thing. The only good thing was that the Birmingham Bowl wasn't high on the must see list so not too many folks saw it live. Just about every blogger in the world picked it up though.

It was a good thing he did run for 109 yards and a touchdown otherwise he would have been nothing but a laughing stock. Hopefully he can have a few more games like the Birmingham Bowl minus the poop for the Gators next season.
