TCU had low expectations going in to last season, but quickly turned in to national title contenders. Had they not been upset by Baylor they probably would have played for it (some think they should have anyway). Instead they had to be satisfied with stomping the daylights out of Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl.
Since the Big 12 didn't have a tie breaker in place even though Baylor beat them since they had the same record both schools were named conference champions. On Wednesday TCU's defensive backs coach Paul Gonzalez tweeted a picture of the championship ring.
