Houston Texans Safety D.J. Swearinger Under Investigation By Houston Police for Stealing His Own Truck

The Houston Texans are a rarity in the NFL. They are a team that does not have many if any players have problems with the law. Historically, the team has been among the lead leaders when it comes to players staying out of trouble. However, that appears to be changing.

It looks like safety D.J. Swearinger may be in a little trouble and for stealing his own truck.

Swearinger recently took his 2013 F250 truck to a customizer so that it could be completely pimped out. We are not just talking about spinners and a new paint job. We are talking about matte black paint with a Batman logo, speakers, new wheels, custom grill, train horn, etc.

He should have been expecting to spend a pretty  penny, but when he arrived at the shop to pick up his truck he got a little sticker shock when he saw the $20K bill and drove off without paying!

Espi Motors, the shop in question, tried to track down Swearinger and get paid, but when they couldn't they did the only thing they could do and filed a police report. The police are now investigating.

What makes this dumb is that it isn't like he can't afford whatever the price tag is. He signed a four-year deal for $3.49 million prior to the '13 season so unless he is another one of those guys that can't manage his money he can afford it.

So pay the bill man. You're making the team look bad.
