Heck, from the look of the picture it appears his afro wasn't even the best in the bunch. Impressive? Yes, but the guy on the far right has got it going on.

PHOTO: Prince and His 'Fro Back During his Basketball Playing Days in School
Prince Rogers Nelson was a little short for a basketball player (5'2"), but from what his coach at Bryant Junior High in Minneapolis says he was a solid player with good ball handling skills and a nice shot. He was just a little short and the team had some really good players making playing time a hard thing to come by for him.
