Ohio State QB Cardale Jones Zings Notre Dame HC Brian Kelly Over QB Comments

It will be some time before we know whether Cardale Jones is going to be the man behind center for the Buckeyes next season, but until he is officially unseated he is the face of the national champions. So when ESPN was in town taking in a practice ahead of Saturday's spring game you know they had to find time to talk to Cardale.

In the process he managed to zing Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly.

Earlier in the week Kelly stated that he would rather have his two quarterbacks, Everett Golson and Malik Zaire, than Ohio State's three (Jones, J.T. Barrett, and Braxton Miller). According to College Spun the exchange went something like this:
During ESPN’s College Football Daily show, a reporter in Columbus said (paraphrasing) to Jones, “Cardale, it’s been said if a team has two quarterbacks, they have none.”

Jones (again paraphrasing) responded: “Sorry for Notre Dame, then, cause we have three.”
The general perception is that Kelly must have been drunk when he said he'd rather have his guys than Urban Meyer's guys. His loyalty is admirable (like we could honestly expect him to say something else), but lets be real here--either one of Ohio State's guys would be an improvement over what Notre Dame currently has.
