The Indianapolis Colts wanted Reggie Wayne to stick around three years ago and the veteran wide receiver did the unexpected and remained on a team everyone figured would be rebuilding with a rookie quarterback and head coach at the helm. Three years later the team is back to being a perennial playoff contender--something he had a lot to do with--but the team doesn't want him.
He has said he wanted just one more season and would be ready to call it quits as a Colt. Instead he remains a free agent.

In order to say thanks for playing the team went ahead and rolled out a big banner saying 'Thanks for the Memories" on Lucas Oil Stadium.
If only they could have let him make one more season's worth.
